Looking Forward to 2019

With less than a day left in 2018, it’s crazy looking back at the year and all that came with it. 2018 was a year for the books, tons of fishing, photos, and filming. We documented some great adventures and shared them with all of our new friends and followers. While I am extremely proud of New School Bass and our first year, I can’t help but look ahead to 2019 and where it will take us.

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Mike and I started NSB last March along side my good friend Joe Cap, not only to document our adventures, but to bring our perspective to the Bass fishing world. For the past three years I have lived in San Diego, CA. While I love SD as well as the fishing here, I will be moving to my home state of Rhode Island this Spring. The move comes for several reasons, but the question is, what does this mean for New School Bass?

One of the benefits to moving across the country is that I will be staying on a beautiful private lake full of bass that is only a few minutes away from the ocean and some world class Striper fishing. While I might not be chasing huge SoCal largemouth, I will have a lot more time and opportunity to get on the water as well as create videos and shoot photos. Hopefully I will even be able to squeeze in a few trips back to SD during the year as well, but overall I will have more opportunity to create content in 2019.

Another huge focus we have in the coming year is collaboration. This means fishing with new anglers, working with different artists, and featuring new people on the website as well as continuing the New School Nation series. This being said if you or someone you know wants to collaborate with us in 2019, hit us up. Whether it’s content you have been working on, a new bait you have designed, or you just want to see if our paths may cross for a fishing trip, we are always open to ideas.

2018 was a great year! It was the birth of New School Bass and I just want to take a second to thank everyone for your continued support. I’m looking forward to this new year as an opportunity to improve and bring you more exciting bass fishing content. Thanks again for all  of your support so far and I look froward to what the future holds for NSB. Cheers.
