Happy Fathers Day
I have found as Ive gotten older that life tends to get in the way of the things that matter most. Monetary and financial burdens of the adult world suffocate the time and will to pursue the things that I am most passionate about. Through out my life fishing has always been one of those passions. The opportunity to be outdoors, crafting a skill in search of that one big catch or just a lazy day on the pond dropping a line with friends is second to none. However, as these opportunities on the water subside to the obstacles of life, one thing has always remained constant; The support of my family. Today on Father's Day I would like to say a big thank you to all the dads who have put a fishing rod in their sons and daughters hands. As those who fish know, the bonds built on the water run deeper than most. Fishing takes patience, discipline, skill and most importantly someone patient enough, disciplined enough, and skillful enough to pass those abilities on to someone else. So today on Fathers Day, say thanks and take dad fishing; for all the times he tied a hook for you, untangled a birds nest of line for you, or ignored the burdens in his own life to spend a day on the water with his kid.
