Southern Summer Patterns
Through out the history of bass fishing one thing has remained constant; southern lakes have great fishing. Large man made reservoirs such as Kentucky Lake and Dale Hollow Lake both completed in 1944 and 1943 have provided anglers with big water lakes and endless opportunities to reel in that trophy bass. However, fishing these large bodies of water can be frustrating. Understanding the patterns of the fish is one of the best ways to find a bite. With spawn season completed in most regions in the country, bass will begin to fall into summer patterns. These patterns will be very different based on location, temperatures, weather and the body of water. Check out this article on Tennessee and Kentucky lakes for some tips on summer patterns at some of the most popular lakes in the south.
