New School Bass: Rainy Day Blues

Last weekend, I hit the lake with the homie Evan (@bassfactory101) to start filming New School Bass Season II. The morning started off cold and wet, but we were stoked to be on the water. At first there was a light breeze and a heavy mist. You know, the type of rain that every time you think it’s done and take off your jacket, it starts raining again. The breeze was a little cool but nice in the way that when the breaks in rain came, everything would dry off quick. As we made our way down the shoreline, we picked apart the weeds, grass, and rocks that we came across. From there on out, we threw everything we had at them. I threw Decievers, Clousers, Crawfish Patterns, wooly buggers, and even some time little flies I don’t know the name of and Evan covered the entire water column with a variety of baits. We fished shallow flats, deep, shorelines, submerged cover in all depths and came up empty. None the less, despite the rain it was a beautiful day on the water. Check out this short edit from our time on the water. Even though we tried everything, all we managed to catch was the rainy day Bass fishing blues.
