Summer is here in Southern California and last week, we really got a taste of it. On Friday and Saturday the temps hit triple digits, Sunday the temperature dipped to a chilly 95, despite the heat, we hit the lake in search of a Summer pattern that would produce in the heat.

Read MoreLast Saturday, we hit the water in search of a glide bait bite. I met up with Evan around 3pm for an evening session and we fished until the lake closed. After about 5 hours we had caught a few good bass.
Read MoreLast weekend, we hit lake Otay Lake in Southern California for some memorial day weekend bass fishing. Evan and I got on the water around 6am. I fished with him until 3pm and he stayed on the water for the full day. We started the morning with a quick limit on jerk baits and drop shots and spent the afternoon tossing swimbaits and jigs, looking for a bigger bite. The swimbait bite paid off for Evan in the afternoon when he landed a 5lber. We will be back this weekend, searching for that giant.
