New School Bass: Stripers on the Fly TBT

One thing about the East Coast that I’m excited for is Striper Fishing. Rhode Island is home to one of the countries best Striper fisheries and you better believe we will be taking full advantage of in. In the mean time, check out this throw back from the worm hatch on Salt Pond in 2013 featuring captain Zach Lapp of Ripline Charters and myself. Enjoy and stay tuned for more Striper action this Summer.

Throwback Thursday

Recently, I was digging through some old hard drives and found this video we made 6 years ago. The video highlights some beautiful moments fly fishing with friends on my home lake in Rhode Island. While this video is older, in 2019 we will be filming more of the NSB series on the east coast. While the bass may not be as big as what California has to offer, the fishing is great and I hope you guys will enjoy the content. For now, enjoy this piece of NSB history from years past.

I cut my work week short and met him at the lake around noon.

It can be tough to find fish and even harder to catch them. Despite the difficult fishing, I have always enjoyed this time of year. I love a good challenge and catching transitional Bass is one of them. Over the years, through many failed attempts I have learned a few techniques that seem to do the trick, or at least help catch a limit during this tough time of year. Weather patterns and lake conditions vary and I must say, most of these techniques pertain to my experience fishing for Northern Strain Bass in the north east.
